Frequently Asked Questions

What does it mean to be a psychologist working toward licensure?

  • I am a psychologist and postdoctoral fellow working toward licensure. This means that I have a PhD in psychology but have not yet obtained an independent license. I operate under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, Dr. Daryl Holloway. Dr. Holloway and I meet regularly for supervision & consultation to ensure that I am providing high-quality services.

Do you take insurance?

  • I also provide a superbill for those who do not wish to use insurance. If you want to check in advance and see if your insurance company provides coverage for therapy with an out-of-network provider, here are a few of the procedure codes they will need to know:

    • Individual 45 min session: 90834

    • Individual 60 min session: 90837

    • Diagnostic evaluation: 90791

    • Psychological assessment: 96130 & 96131

  • Questions to ask your insurance company if I am out-of-network:

    • Are mental/behavioral health services (ex. CPT codes 90791 and 90837) covered by my out-of-network benefits?

    • Do I have a co-pay for each visit? If so, how much?

    • Do I have a deductible? If so, how much is left, if any?
